Copying DVD with no loss of quality

Hi all. Anyone knows how to copy a DVD without jeopardizing any losses in quality? I used Pinnacle PCTV which come with its own software (PCTV Vision), but I get clean copies. Picture is usually pixilated. There has to be either a better quality PCTV Cards or better quality DVD-R softwares. Would appreciate your assistance

The ONLY way to copy a dual layer DVD without loss in quality is to simply copy it to a DL DVDR or to split it over 2 SL DVDR's. DVD Decrypter will do the first, many other programs (Shrink, CloneDVD, etc) will do the second, PCTV Vision will NOT.

or another but harder way is to conver it to a divx with let us say 4000kbps (super kwal)
and convert it back with an utitlity like TFM from divx to dvd.

not 100% the kwal of dvd but still mush more if u use a tool like dvdshrink or dvd2one :)

a movie of 3houres is shrinked 35/40% with al the shrinking tools like dvd2one...
if you do it the orher way you maybe lose 5/10%, but its a whole way to do it :)

i do this alot :D

T-T, I'd really suggest you read up on DVD ReBuilder, 1000% easier than your way and substantially better quality as well. All done in one simple conversion, not 2. The Pro version of RB allows main movie only for even better results.

this is fantastic, never knew there was such a program :)
i rebuilded a movie of 3hours in about 4houres (hope thats not to bad) with a single program and almost no quality loss the movie is perfect

you guys rock !!!
:D :D :D

Glad to hear you liked it :) :)

Speed of conversion is amost fully dependant on the speed of your CPU. Also different versions of CCE can effect the final time it takes as well. I use CCE 2.50 on my AMD3200+ and would do your 3hr movie in about 2hrs.

in 2 houres ?
damn thats twice so fast as mine and i also have a XP3200+ with 2x512DDR400

the one thing difference is CCE, i'm using version 2.67.00.27.

could it be CCE why my pc is twice as slow as yours ?

more than likely try 2.50
The-Poacher just hit a hole in one :) 2.67 is a good 20% slower than 2.50 on an AMD system with no visable quality difference.

Also, with ReBuilder, tick on "One Pass VBR (w/ analysis)" and it will encode in 1/2 the time with no loss in quality. Drawback is sometime makes the final files just a bit to big for a DVDR, if thats the case, just use Shrink to pull the 4.40gb back to 4.35 to fit to a dvdr :)

easy softwareno loss of quality

thank you all. by the way, i came across the newest version of NERO. this is by far the most easy to use yet sophisticated DVD copier with no-loss-of-quality software. with NERO, i was able to even do some editing without the need to use advanced softwares such as adobe premier. i was able to burn a DVD in about 9 minutes.
