I have just purchases a DVD burner and I am interested in finding out[hypothetically of course as we all know this practise is illegal ] how to copy a copyrighted DVD to a blank one. Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Yowie.

"Fair use"Is what we practice here.In fact it is becoming a popular movement. That is why we are beginning to relax our rules.Everybody should be able to backup what they own (purchased),by whatever means.

In fact game cracks/patches,and talk of it here, are now allowed(no direct links however). The manufacturers are making things increasingly difficult for us to back up things we purchased. They should be going after pirating factories that mass produce instead of putting the screws to the little guy(consumer).

Again...you are responsible for your actions in direct relationship to your country's laws.

Here in Canada I can backup stuff that I purchased. It is in the thousands of dollars by now.We purchase lots of movies, games for Xbox, Ps2, Gamecube, PC, etc.at retail stores.

The way the law is today, if someone told you the answer to your question they would be breaking the law. If there are at least two people that's conspiracy. Whacha gonna do when they come for you? I don't the anwer to your question.

Just use any major P2P search program for "DVD" and you will find lots of programs.

erm why do that when DVD DECRYPTER and DVD SHRINK and BURN at ONCE are all FREEWARE and we have excellent guides here see the links poacher posted above :)

In the USA that may be illegal

In th UK no One has been prosecuted for backing Up what they own
& this forum calls this fair use & advise how to do it!!!!!!!

As far as it being illegal in the US well one law says yes and one law says no so take your choice. :) I think its a matter for the lawyers!! But look out for the new label and what a surprise  RIAA backs the label.
The full warning reads: "The unauthorised reproduction or distribution of this copyrighted work is illegal. Criminal copyright infringement, including infringement without monetary gain, is investigated by the FBI and is punishable by up to five years in federal prison and a fine of $ 250,000."

I seen this at cdrfreaks.

Man talk about denial and lack of facts...I read last night about the typical windows install not having the full aspi driver install so I followed the tut, checked my winxp situation and low and behold I did not have aspi32.sys, wowpost.exe, or winaspi.dll in my system at all...let alone old versions...arghhh...needless to say with the help of the article I got this situation corrected, all seemed to go with a hitch....many thanks :)
