copying CD+G

can anyone pleez help me on copying cd+g disc for karaoke .tryed nero and clone cd maybe i picked the wrong settings as i just copyed entire disc ???

You've got to have the right burner. Very few support burning of CD+G.

Most HP, Yamaha and Plextor do though.

Check this FAQ out:

http://www.tricerasoft.com/tyrannosoft/drivelist.html

and this from the CDRWIN (good software for CD+G):

What CDROM devices support CD+G (Karaoke) discs?

To backup CD+G discs, you must have one of the following recorders...

Hewlett Packard 7500 / 8100 / 8200 / 9100 / 9200
Panasonic CW-7501
Plasmon CDR4240
Plextor PX-R412C (must have firmware version 1.07)
Plextor PX-R820T / PX-W4220T / PX-W8220T)
Sony CRX100E / CRX110E / CRX120E / CRX140E / CRX140S
Yamaha All Models

yep good advice if your burner cant do it forget the rest

I did it a long time ago using Plextor 12/10/32/S & CDRWin I believe.

Cd+g

If your burner can copy cd+g a good piece of software
is Microstudio it copies the whole disc or you can copy
single tracks to make your own compilations it work a treat
url for Demo http//www.mtu.com
it will let you know if your burner is suitable or not :D

CD+G do not need RAW+96- just a burner that can write subchannel data, so I'm surprised by the previous comments.
Almost any available program can copy CD+G disk, but compiling such a disk is totally different.

Bah, all you need is an accurate read and write of the rw subs. With some writers you can only do this with raw dao96 read and write. Others can do it with sao + rw subs.

@ Markbot

I known for a fact the your Toshiba SD-M1502 DVD-Rom and Lite-On 40125 CD-R/W combination is capable of successfully copying Karaoke CD-G disc because I have used that exact combination to copy numerous Karaoke CD-G’s.

If you just want to “Copy” Karaoke CD-G disc use CloneCD and have your Toshiba SD-M1502 DVD-Rom as the “Reader” and your Lite-On 40125 CD-R/W as the “Writer”.

If you want to make a Karaoke CD-G “Compilation” disc use DiscJuggler and use the “Reader/Writer” set up mentioned above.

Your Lite-On 40125 CD-R/W is capable of “Writing” CD-G’s but is unable to “Read” CD-G’s properly. That is why you need to use your Toshiba SD-M1502 DVD-Rom as your “Reader”. Your Toshiba SD-M1502 DVD-Rom is an excellent reader and can read the RW sub-channel data were the Karaoke graphics data is located.

Also strongly suggest to ensure that the Karaoke CD-G disc you are copying is thoroughly cleaned before copying and to use the slowest speed available for “Writing”.

Hope this information is helpful.
