Copying CD files (ca?) to harddisk to CD-R

Well that's it. I've looked for about two hours online and decided to finally post here seeking advice on how to rip an audio cd to my hard drive and burn from my harddrive to my CD-writer.

Now, I know how to copy Disc to Disc using the basic copying software and I've seen tutorial after tutorial on how to convert CD files to other formats such as MP3, Wave files, but I can't seem to find one tutorial on how to simply make an exact copy of the contents of a CD to my hard drive.

Thanks in advance for all advice.

The EASYEST way really is to check a search button couse all that is said million times..maybe even more.It is fairly easy task :) So check the search and ask if something is not clear :)

Well thanks for all the help. I'm downloading the program down and will test it out when I get a chance and let you know how it worked. I also plan on running through some of the DVD tutorials here. This place has already been a big help and I haven't even really exlplored all that much the contents of this site. Thanks again.

Just have in your mind that eac is not so easy to setup first time, but it will pay of to setup it properly. So dont worry about spending a few hours first time to test-set it properly, couse after youll set in a few minutes(thats how i and other eac user need now for setup).Turn on the advanced setup and go thru all of the options. If you dont understand some options, check search or ask here.Make a offset too,so you can get a exact copy of a cd-couse thats what youre asking for(last version got a accurate rip funkcion too which you may need if you are a perfecionist :)  )
Check out a case page for eac ripping straight to lossless&lossy formats...like flac,ape,ofg,mpc,ogg,mp3,aac...
Also keep in mind that you can rip-encode-tag all in one step with eac-one more reason to learn how it works :)
Also check search button for""""foobar""".Its a advanced player,encoder-converter,tagger,audio-burner,music organizzer, and much much more :)
Its comes easily to be a best audio player around. Its a most customizable player too.You can make everything to be your way..All his funkcions can be customized to your liking, his decoding-encoding algoritams are top class-always updated with the best version of codec. Its very fast too, small cpy,its free(no cost)and its got great support forum :)
Also foobar can rip cds too.It uses a ak rip library which is a same cdex use, only with disabled paranoia for foobar.
About cd ripping, cdex and foobar can be just alternative-testing solutions, couse there is not replacement as of now for EAC :) :) :)
