i have been using Cool Edit Pro for a long time now and suddenly it will not allow me to play MP3's. In the multitrack studio part I go
insert wav from file and in the file type drop down box MP3 is now missing, i have the mp3 codec on my system and other progs play MP3
Can anybody help? is it a file association thingy. In CEP help says that MP3 support is built in so additional plugins are not required.

Cool Edit Pro version 2 now comes standard with MP3 capability and also includes the ability to save into MP3pro. The MP3 filter in the trial version expires after 21 days, but if you purchase the product, you can use the MP3 filter without any limitations.
