conflict WAVELAB4 VS NERO

hi
i'm downloading WAVLAB 4
i have wabelab 3
but the 3 version gave a lot of problems with nero,feurio and so on
it (wavelab3) saves a driver(cequadrat winoncd 3.6) on c:\windows\system\Iosubsys
this driver gives a lot of problems with Nero ,feurio! and a lot of ASPI software
i don't remeber the name of this driver ...cr2..
Using feurio! in the EXTRA Menu "perform a system diagnosis" you can know if this driver is installed
on your system

this driver *.vxd gave a lot of problems...

has WAVELAB4 this driver?
is wavelab4 really the best or one of the best software?
can i clean up old live songs with wavelab4

I did have wavelab2,3 and 4 with nero 4,5,5.5....Never had any probs....with it.....Btw Steinberg svitched to Vob from Cequadrat,....And its the best(one of) audioeditor today....Get me1.5 or 2002 and some cleaning stuff(wrb1.0,nr redu2.0a or whatewer you like)and youll be fine.....

Hi Guys,

Mantra, as Zver said, I too never had any problem using those two piece of software together. I used them on win98,ME, 2k with the versions 4 to 5.580 of Nero and version 3 and 4 of WaveLab and everything was fine. I believe that there was a instalation that messed some files and that's why you get this problems. Try reinstalling (I mean install over the old instalation) your windows and then reinstall both Nero and WaveLab.

Only 2nd try works. What can i do?

Hey Mantra does it works for you?

My problem is, when i will burn my collection to a CDR, WaveLab shows in Burning-Status "Initializing" and after 20 s "OK" Burning done. The LED of my RICOH short flashing only one times. Then i try burning again and everything will be good, then it works.

Only 2nd try works. What can i do? - Has anybodey the same problem?

I think the VOB Burning-Engine (or the ASAPI-Layer?) works not correctly with my two other CDR-Progs: Nero & CloneCD. I uninstalled Nero & CloneCD, all Drivers and Reg-Entries are correctly cleared. It's still the same, 2nd try works.

Have anyone a good idea to solve my problem?

i've updated to the last ASAPI from 01-18-2002,
to the latest Engine-Update (called CdDriverUpdate_01_12_05.exe)
and the newest Regfile "CD-Recorder Update.reg"
my RICOH 7083A is also documented in Regfile

but two chances ist better as no one
the medium is still unwritten after the first try

i uninstalled wavlab
i clean the regfile
and i installed again force aspi 4.60

now it 's every things ok

hi i'm back again

i had a similar idea;
had uninstalled only the burning-engine,
uninstalled the ASAPI too,
cleaned Registry with Nortons WinDoctor,
intstalled Adaptecs new ASPI 4.70,
installed Engine-Update (called CdDriverUpdate_01_12_05.exe);

but after that WaveLab can't find my RICOH,
VOBs tool "drvreg.exe" find nothing too;
so i change ASPI against ASAPI and WaveLab find my recorder;
But still the same, only 2nd try works.

I will give ASPI 4.60 a chance.
Next try is un- & reinstalling wavelab complete.

and now my questions to you Mantra:
Your OS? (I use W2k)
How do you cleaned Registry, manual, Regclean or other stuff?
If manual, how are the entries? Shared DLLs and ASAPI-Service?

- had kicked VOBs ASAPI
- installed Adaptecs ASPI 4.60 (1021) by "forceASPI 1.7"
> everything fine, burned 4 CDs, no problems
