Combine avi & Mp2

How can i combine/Mux a Divx-avi and a Mp2-vbr-audio file?
Does i need special software? Because Nandub and AviMux does make a new Avi, but after that it will not play it.

After converting the audiofile to wav and recompress it with Mp3 in Virtualdub it's fine, but takes ages...

There is no such thing as VBR MP2 and an AVI with an MP2 audio is not standard and not liable to play anyway. Use Exact Audio Copy to make your VBR MP3 from your WAV file, its very quick and accurate. Then mux in with Nandub.

Well it was original a svcd movie wich i would convert to divx.
I'm using now dvd2avi to convert it to divx, and the audio is saved as a MP2 file. After that i run the MP2 file trough Winamp (diskwriter) to get a wave file. Then load the avi and wave in Virtualdub (compressing only the audio with mp3) and the result runs fine. Is there a faster solution to convert svcd to divx?

Yes, just use Vidomi. Load the SVCD mpg files in direct and encode directly to DivX. No farting around stripping, converting , etc.

Have a read of the DVD to DivX tutorial, but use the SVCD MPG file instead of the VOB files.
