Well after testing out I am not at all impressed, DVD Shrink is better and is also FREE.

Why would I want to waste 39 euros when a freeware product is way better???

Same for me too- or I am missing something?

Gotta say - after all the hype, it suxx - big time! A big disappointment to say the least. Will stick with DVD Decrypter & Instant Copy & or DVD X Copy Xpress - no hassles with either one of those. Elby has bit the dust with this one - sad, sad day......

Instant Copy ?..okay if it is working for you.

i would recommend dvdshrink or dvd95copy..and dvd-decrypter of course

DXC objective is to back up the whole movie, menus, trailers, extras and all with one click, this was the first all-in-one software to do so.
CloneDVD will not back up a protected DVD, so that's pretty much none then, which means you have to rip it off like with DVD2one.

Not tried it yet as I'm ripping X-Men with smartripper before it will do it's stuff, cos it complained of X-Men's CSS protection.

Why take a back-wards step like this when others have already stuck their necks out?, rather than break the protection use it in the back-up so that it cannot be copied easily and as with DXC will not back-up a back-up.

And of course when there are excellent free copiers like DVD shrink, why pay for this?

I tried the new CloneDVD and as Laz said, nice GUI and buit in burning, but then its the quality of the finished product that counts. Doesnt come anywhere near DVD2one. But then again, think back to the early days of dvd95copy, IC7, dvd shrink, etc they all had problems first release. DVD2one was the only one that worked as it was advertised, but was short on features. They have all moved in leaps and bounds since their day one. I'm sure CloneDVD will be doing the same. I'll wait until that happens though before trying it again.

Well, it's too bad that the initial reports aren't so good... but as CM says, let's keep an eye on it and see how it progresses.

DXC oder DCS are better and more complete... Personally I like DCS more, with this app you can transcode and split! I think it is the only application on the market that can do this at the moment...
