chkdsk at startup

Hi All,can anyone tell me how i stop this message when i start up my xp pro system.
Windows needs to run chkdsk/f. on drive D: press any key to stop chkdsk
I get this message every time i start i have let windows do the test and no problum is found have i turned this test on somwhere in windows if so how do i turn it of ?.
Any advice welcome. :confused:
The drive that windows want's to run chkdsk on is not my master H/D will switching to fast start up still work ?.

usually this means you Windows didn't shut down properly; have a look at Windows' event log;

you can try my attached reg file; extract it, double click it, say yes, reboot Windows and see what happens;
