Cd recording problems

Ok. Firstly cd looks OK. Have 3 burners. Creative 8.4.32. Lg 8080 in Freecom housing & Matshita (Panasonic)DVD SW 9581. Apart from the odd differance they all do the same thing. The DVD drive is the hardest to write to. I have just tried a audio cd to CDRW and it works OK. The same one that broke up with CDR.
By Xp burning engine I take it you mean the imapi setting and yes its disabled.
VIPER_1069 will try as you suggest.

with dvd burning you really need to be using windows 2000 with NTFS file system otherwise you will get all sorts of problems :(

ask chickenman , daveml or bertig about this more :)

I have now done a complete reinstall of XP (not ignoring the advice but had done it before I read post) and everything seems to be working OK. Tried 3 cdr's and all no problem using Nero. I have another question but I will start a new post.
