CCE encoding error please help

I just started using CCE SP together with Scenalyzer for DV capture. I was able to capture the footages through Scenalyzer and I was able to watch the avi files through Real Player. Then when I tried to encode the avi file by CCE, I got error message saying "couldn't find appropriate video codec for 'dvsd'". When I clicked ok it gave me another screen of error which I attached(sorry I could not find out how to paste the image on this message board).

Anybody has idea what's going on? Thanks.

The second error message is due to the first error message.

I would suggest you try DVD2SVCD (uses cce as the encoder) and in the Misc tab, select DV as source. Then read the AVI or DVD to SVCD Tutorials.

The DVD2SVCD bundle did not show an option of "DV" input file, only "DVD" "AVI" or "DVB". I think you did not refer DVB as DV? I actually tried to use DVD2SVCD but the same problem happened during encoding, I chose AVI as input file for the test.

I also tried to use TMPGenc but the finished video clip gave me only 2 or 3 frames playble then showed me a error as attached. Don't know what happened?

Any more idea?

Sorry, yes I ment DVB.

Your problem then is Codec related I'm sure. When you select AVI as your input, click on the AVI Hints tab and follow what the author suggests.

Chickenman, I did but it did not work.

I tried DVB and failed.

I tried to download the files mentioned in the AVI hints, but both links were not available. I went to Canopus to download the codec, and a DV converter(not sure this is the one the hint refered to), and some other codecs but still not working.

Don't understand why it was so difficult. Is it possible the type 1 or type 2 in the Scenalyzer capturer making the headache?

I used to capture by Pinnacle then encoded by TMPGEnc(CBR) without problem. I heard CCE was really better and faster, so I tried to use it together with Scenalyzer so I could make them with date and time but I was unlucky.

Yes I think so, change the type from what your previously done and try again.
