hi every one

i have a real problem

i have a cd - data cd - with the cactus data shield 100
i use alcohol , blindwrite, winoncdand... but they failed
so i don't know what should i do?

thanks

I've never seen a data CD protected with CDS... and anywaay, CDS is strictly hardware dependent, if your CD-ROM drive cannot read it then no software can do.

hmmmm strange !? cdsheild 100 !? pretty dated that one too ?! search the forum for audio protections and follow the guides for those and test with a CDRW you may get lucky :) at least you can then save on cdrs :)

yes r!co
i am sure about that, that was strange for me too, cactus 100 for data cd

i also used plextools and exact audio copy but they work only for audio cd
not for data.

you know i realy don,t want to make any changes to the coding because i am a good guy ;) but what should i do if there is no otherway?

you should take the right because no one give it to you
if you know what is the right?!

yes
i use clonyxxl to identify the protections

there are 49 audio tracks and 50 data tracks but only the one data track length is 79:00:00 min and the others are dummy

It is audio. That datatracks are to hide audio cd. That means your cd-drive is not able to read it

hmmmm...
so smart
but you know what? that's the game, how could that be
the audio cd = game?!!
i'm comfused
any way , what do you suggest

I never heard of a data cd with CDS100.....Are you shure that Clony reports the protection correctly?
Check the cd with Swiss Scout Easyscan to find out if it's really CDS100.

Quite simply, Clony says nonsense... which happens pretty frequently. Can you name the CD? It should feature in several protected CD's database...

I didn't say that it doesn't contain CDS100.....just that I never seen it on a data cd. ;)
In most countries,Commandos 3 -destination Berlin,is protected with SecuRom - 4.85.07.0056 (only the 3th disc).
This could perfectly explain why you can't backup that game.
The only known device thusfar that is known to be able to create a working copy without emulation,is the Plextor Premium.
I suggest you to try BlindWrite or Alcohol 120% again with Securom New v4xx profile...:)

Clony is both buggy and bitta outdated, and doesn't recognize latest protections properly. Commandos 3 is a tough nut to crack. And yes, positively it has nothing to do with CDS 100.

yes you'r roadworker right but i'm right too

you know what my commandos have only the CDS-100 on cd 1

no Securom , belive me.

i'm vry angry with that stupid game ,
i should fix it using my way :)

and

thank you for helping me

doing right is sooooooooo hard ;) (i'm i right?!)

Audioprotections are very hardware dependent......if your drive can't read such disc by nature, you can try to rip with the latest version of AnyDvd installed and circumvent the protection that way......but AnyDvd doesn't work with all drives.....
