Burning questions

I am using decyptor and shirink to burn movies. I have run into 2 movies that it will not burn, resident evil 2 and the forgotten. They get to a certain percentage, stop and have an error come up about not reading the disk. There are no scratches, I even cleaned them with scratch remover and still nothing. I am using the stock burner on a dell comp. Any suggestions?

I also burnt twisted and it played great till the end, about the last 10 minutes the picture and sound started messing up to the point you couldnt watch it. When I put it in the burner on the comp it played perfect but wouldnt work on my pioneer. I am wondering how many other of my back ups are like this since I havent watched all of them yet. I have burnt about 30 movies and games, probably 12 of them I have watched with no problems, and 2 are like I described. Any suggestions on this?

Resident Evil and The Forgotten use a new protection, your best bet is to install AnyDvd to be able to rip those dvd's.

About the Twister movie:
try other media or burn at a lower speed......

I slowed it down on my last one and it worked fine. I will check on anydvd. Do you use it in place of decryptor and still use shrink?

DvdShrink doesn't keep up with the latest dvd encryptions anymore, but it's still a fine recoder.....you can keep using it for shrinking your movies, but for ripping the newest dvd's,you better switch to latest AnyDvd or latest DvdRegio + Css Free versions ATM,although I expect Lightning_UK! to release a supporting DvdDecrypter version very soon... :)

Latest version of Decrypter (released in the last week or 2) can deal with the new protection used on Resident Evil and The Forgotten.

With one is the latest version of Decrypter?? Cause I d/led a new version about 2-3 weeks ago and I still had errors with The Forgotten. It finished the decrypting without skipping any files but after I stink than burn and play it, the movie has about a 10min blank screen at the being of it.

For video,I don't go faster than 4X,for data dvd,I go for maximum speed... :)
Wow, this whole time I have been burning at 8x for Dvd videos. I haven't really noticed any problems though. Why do you burn at 4x? Will you notice a difference?

Thanks

Almost always cheap stuff here @ the stores......quality is hard to find.
Crappy media burned @ max.speed results in skipping or hangs on my standalone.....
If I burn a 8 X rated Prodisc @ 4 X,my player plays them fine......it's a habit now... ;)

yes i try to burning a dvd it did not read at all i useddvd shrink 3.2 and dvd x copy it did not read it i am used a sony dru-710 it told me not able to read it why the dvd movie is call the grudge :)

Both of those programs can't read tne new protection on that dvd,use AnyDvd or DvdDecrypter 3.2.5.0 instead to rip that 1...

First you should start a new post.
But I'll give you a quick fix.:)
From what I understand this movie can be done with the newest DVD Decrypter and the newest DVD Shrink.
Good luck. :)
