burning problems

Hi all.
can any one save whats left of my hair? I just bought a Pioneer 106 dvd writer, It fails every time in nero and clone dvd. The nero report says queuing failed. Ive tried several makes of disc with the same result. System is MSI k7n2 delta m/b with athlon 2.0g cpu and 1g ddr ram. Any help would be much appreciated, thanx in advance

First of all update to the newest Nero version for drive support. Also update Clone if you haven't already.I suggest you use a dvdrw until you get used to the drive. ;)

What exactly are you trying to burn please?

As you mention DMA ... checking for the latest mainboard drivers is also a good idea ...
Thanx guys, BUT done all that and still the same problem. I,m burning dvd's by the way which always worked with theold m/b and pioneer ao5.

Are you using Nero 5.5.10.42, or older version? Try putting the 106 on its own IDE channel with a 40pin cable. Did you swap out the 105 for the 106, jumpered the same on the same cable?
