1. What were you trying to burn using the RAW driver?
2. Do you have Imapi or a packet writer active?

it's for copying files via "Drag & Drop" to a CD-RW, using a CD-RW like a floppy disk without using a CDR mastering software;
examples for packet writers: InCD, FileCD, InstantWrite ...

and what scarecrow asked also above: Did you deactivated XP's native IMAPI burning engine? ==> Control Panel > Administration > Services > IMAPI > Start Type > disabled

DD51,
No, you should not use the RAW driver for burning data CD's- the default one (SCSI3-MMC) is just fine. Actually BAO is quite "clever" to auto switch to the RAW driver when needed (eg burning audio CD's with CD-Text included).
Imapi can be found and disabled under Administration tools/services.
Your log file says that CDRDAO lost contact with the device right after burning the lead-in area because of "something"- which may have been Imapi, especially if you have auto insert notification turned on.
By the way you can post the same question to Burnatonce forums.

Duracell...Thank you soo much for your responce...it is greatly appreciated.

Scarecrow,
That's it...It works now! I must've put a check mark in the Raw Write box! I removed the check and all is fine now! Thank you soo much for helping me...What a great little program.

I appreciate everyone's help with this:D

PS I check my ATAPI and it was on Manual! I don't know if it's the reason why but I changed it to Automatic.

Sincere regards,

You obviously mean "Imapi". Believe me, setti9ng it to "disabled" instead makes much more sense, since this service is almost useless (a very limited packet writer). If you decide to do so, do it under the "extended" services tab.
By the way Burnatonce is one of my darlings, too.

Scarecrow,

Once again thank you soo much for the tips!!!
and yes i did mean IMAPI.

I am overwhelmed by the help here...you guys are too much!

Thanks again...I have disabled it under the extended tab:)
