Broadband help...

You are changing the right device, I presume?
Which OS?

In the Advanced properties for the adapter, is the packet size set to LARGE - I have a vague recollection that there are two places that this is set, and one may override or set a maximum for the other.

I think so !! I'm running winXP...
I have gone to the drive properties for the copperjet modem...it has an SDU size of 1500, encapsulation type says PPPoA(RFC2364), Modulation type: TI.413, VCI value is 38 & VPI is 0....does any of this help !!!!!!

What I have change is in the network adapters & what I have downloaded......TCP optimizer & DRTCP....

Point to point protocol over ATM - which (unlike PPoE) does seem as if it should be capable of 1500 MTU.

A friend just had BB installed using an Intel modem - and after installing a USB card as the external USB modem would not ready-up on the onboard USB - it went like a rocket!

I'm on cable, and dialup before that, and I tweaked the hell out of dialup!

I never bothered with my dial up...its crap an was going to stay crap so...lmao !!

I give up with changing the MTU...really don't know what else to do...I am just about getting 80% so that will have to do...better than the 5% I were getting...lmao !!
