Hi Mal,
I didn't say it was a great match. I just said it was acceptable. This one was a little better than the last two. In 94, an attacking team against eleven man in the keepers area (Italy). In 98, a France, the same team that was humiliated this year (exactly the same players), against an humiliating Brazilian team that walked the field. At least this year there were some attacks on both sides.
If i'm not mistaken it was in the qualifying round for Mexico 86, when Brazil lost his first ever qualifying match against Bolivia in La Paz, as did Germany against Portugal in Germany. There is always a first time for everything. The problem was that this Brazil was a disaster during the qualifying round and it still is. Durring this match they showed two or three plays of real team work, for the rest it is a team that depends too much on the 3 R's. I hope they switch the coach and put someone else, because if they have to play to qualify to Germany 2006, they may not reach it (same thought as Joripe). I think Lazaroni should try it again, but will have to adapt his tactics, because what he showed in Copa America 89 can't be implemented with this players. I know that coaching Brazil is worse than beeing President of the USA

.
This world cup wasn't great, but we can learn many thing from it, Specially mr. Blatter.
Cheers,

PS: Mal a prepararse para Alemania 2006

. Queiro verlos por esos campos.
