Booting winxp

When booting up my computer with winxp, I always get given the choice of normal boot up xp home or a recovery option.

I have had to recently reload all my s/w after a major crash. Before I did so, I did not get this list of options, it just booted straight into windows.

I have forgotten how to get rid of this list of options and have it boot up into windows.

Can some kind person remind me?

Hi GRannyGruntBuck(Great name BTW):)

If i rem right, right click My Computer & select properties, not sure what tab it is, but U are looking 4 1 saying StartUp.In here should be an option 2 kill the boot menu & 2 change the amount of time that the menu is displayed.

Hope this is right as i have not used XP in a while:)

Hope it helps

Right-click on My Computer, Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery, uncheck Time to display list of operating systems.

This edits your c:\boot.ini file for you. Been around since NT 4.0
