One of musics greats returns to his spiritual home
Rita Marley is to have the remains of former husband Bob moved from Jamaica to Ethiopia, the late reggae idol's 'spiritual home'.

Marley currently rests in his homeland of Jamaica after he died of cancer in 1981. He will be moved to Shashemene in Ethiopia next month in celebration of his 60th birthday.

Speaking to the BBC, Rita said, "We are working on bringing his remains to Ethiopia. It is part of Bob's own mission."

Ethiopia has been chosen because it was the birthplace of Rastafarian leader Haile Selassie. A film festival and seminars will also take place in commemoration of the Buffalo Soldier singer.

Not happy about,he was born Jamaican he should be there barriued,btw haile selasije was a dictator-big one so i really cant belive that he was a bob`s favorite person??

Seems all is not the truth

Rita Marley has today refuted claims that she plans to move the remains of the late Bob Marley from Jamaica to Ethiopia.
Yesterday there were several reports that Rita intended to exhume the reggae legend's remains and move them to Ethiopia, his 'spiritual home' and birthplace of Rastafarian spiritual leader Haile Selassie.
Apparently Rita's words have been "twisted", according to Desta Meghoo-Peddie of the Marley Foundation. She told BBC 1Xtra: "She does express honestly and candidly the fact that Bob, as a Rasta man, loved Ethiopia and she would love to see the day where he is laid to rest in his father's land, and she has never been secretive about that.
"But we have never ever put out anything saying Bob is going to be exhumed, and returned home, and it is very painful to see something so wonderful is being twisted"

Well,he was a ""close""friend of Josip Broz Tito-the biggest dictator in the world`s history-so we know(at least i do)what kind of person he was :eek:
