bloody clueless

For some reason when i boot up my pc it tells me i have x amount of days before i need to change my password would i like to change it now, and it is counting down daily.
This would not be so bad but i have never put a password on the pc and i am starting to get PaRaNoId about it.
I am using xp pro and if anybody can throw any light on this i would be gratefull.
Ps done the usual checks in control panel user accounts etc

somewhere in windows managment console is a option to make the password expire after so many days.how you get to it to disable im not quite sure yet and how its doing it when you havent entered a pass i dont know either. i suggest you enter a pass and get it to auto log on instead of manually entering pass every start up and see what happens after x amount of days to see if it comes back.sorry i cant be any more clear or helpful

Try this.
Right click on my computer, select manage, under the Local user groups select users. You will now have all the accounts shown in the right pain. Select your login name and look at the properties. Make sure that the Password never expires box is ticked.
