big problem

i think i have abig problem with this xp recently installed..
two of my cd drives can not be accessed for some reason...
i've tryed uninstalling the drives then re-installing them but i keep getting the same problem xp says that the device can not start. it has also affected com port 3 for some reason and in the power settings the UPS says that it has stopped..
i hope someone can help me i'm now desperate,,,,,,,,

I CAN'T GET AN UPDATE THE MOTHERBOARD SITE IS'NT THERE
MY BOARD IS AN ATREND ATC 6220 rev2 ANY THOUGHTS WHERE TO GET AN UPDATE.....

sorry about the caps, i went there but had no luck...am i doomed to go back to win98. i can't understand it used to work, i've tryed un-installing programs that i have put on after instalation but still no luck.......

Had a similar problem myself,tried installing ASPI layer but no luck,my solution was a clean install,got everything back working.Probably the long way round,but it worked.
