Best Spyware/Adware remover...?

The freewares SpyBot and SpywareBlaster in combination with SpySweeper ....

For me... Ad-aware to get rid of existing Spyware and SpywareBlaster as a preventative measure. Both freeware Just make sure to keep the definitions up to date.

The above is the 'free' version. Can't really update it, you have to download the whole program again. But, it still catches things adaware and spybot miss.
I use all 3 in tandem.
Spyware blaster And I use that to stop the vermin from ever installing itself in the first place.
There's also using mailwasher to check my mail, atleast the headers, to filter the spam out. And I stay away from outlook, so I don't get any viruses from email.
And I don't use IE. I use firefox, to stop popups. And I also use the proxomitron to filter popups as well, as well as ads and banners. So I get very little spyware from surfing with the above.

I often use HiJackThis http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.html to check whats on my system, and keep applications in check.
And since I use XP,
I also download Safe-XP and XP-Anti-spy
located at http://www.theorica.tk and http://xp-antispy.org/ respectively
and then disable certain different things in each.
I also have a run-time virus checker that runs at startup and checks all files I run.

And 3 virus checkers I sometimes run to check for things that the above may miss
