best (free) burning program???

hey yall....whats the best (free) burning program?? if any? i ask cuz my burning program "record now DX2" wont let me burn.
it only lets me do an exact copy. but it doesnt give me an option to burn the dvds i backed up on my pc. its kinda wierd to explain......thats why im asking if any of u know an easier burning program.
