Backedup movie, cant scan>> through film!

Hi All,

I've owned a dvd burner (MSI DRA4) for a few hours now and have been testing away with dvd backups and a few data discs.
Although i've run into a small snag, when I play my dvd-r's back with Powerdvd it starts fine, but if I try using the slider to advance the film an hour or so the disc and Powerdvd just hang, anyone know why?

I'd be tempted to suggest that its the discs i'm using, they only write at 2x "Aladin-media.com General Purpose", my mate gave them to me.

LESSON LEARNT- The above cheapo discs are rubbish, strictly for data only.
I've just tested with Mirror Platinum -R and the movie playback is bellissimo!!

Good media = Good Burn (all other things being equal)

The symptoms U describe are nearly always down to crappo media <> my tip is always use good media my preference is Ritek
