I've had similar messages caused by damaged/dirty discs or poor quality media (use ritek for best results). Try cleaning the disc and give it another go. If that fails try locate a program called smart ripper and read all the files of the disc. I started with that and progressed to decrypter.

Turn off all other apps (virus checker etc..) as they may be interfering. Is it just one disc or all discs that have this error?

Another way is use anydvd and clone dvd together.

maby try burning slower 1x :)

also use a DVDRW to practice with until you are confident of your skills :)
