avi2dvd & tmpegenc

I have converted lord of the rings using avi2dvd, then tried to drop the converted lordoftheringavi.d2v into tmpegenc version 2.59, All I get is an error message saying File "E:\lordoftherings\lordoftheringavi.d2v" can not open or is unsupported. were can I be going wrong.

u need an *.avi file ---> download the VFapi Converter and "convert" the *.d2v into an avi ....
then u r able to open it via tmpeg or what ever ;)

You say "using avi2dvd, " and I assume you mean DVD2AVI ?? Just copy the dvd2avi.vfp file to your TMPGEnc folder, then the *.d2v will be accepted. As Epl.. said, use of VFAPI can work but is extremely slow.

try vidomi, with the new divx 5.02 and ac3 sound and can't tell the difference. with vidomi alot is now bs free and so is prog but so are the others

Slow is all relative ! Its slower than loading the d2v file in direct. Why frameserve to a frameserver to tmpgenc, when you just frameserve to tmpgenc. Just simpler and quicker.

gashliquor, Vidomi is for converting an MPEG2 (DVD or SVCD) to an AVI. Original request was the oposite way, from an AVI to an MPEG2.
