I'm trying import a custom avatar. Went through the usercp avatar and options but it won't let me choose the new one. Any help appreciated.

Laz, i think it's something to do wiz the permission setting.
Check if normal users are allowed to change their avatar.

Nope, just checked that and all is fine.

I think it has to be the right settings 64x64 pixels max and i think it has to be the right resolution too of 8 bits color depth and a gif file format

I have the right size. A 50x50 gif and jpeg. In the options when you choose change avatar I get to the proper screen but it won't let me select anything. Even if you try to reset the fields nothing happens. The do not use an avatar button just stays on.

Blane..I just added the Cdrbase avatar to your profile. Pm me, I can help you with yours.Everything seems proper in the admin settings.

had the same prob...i've just had a look @ my avatar settings & there is still no option 4 changing /importing new ones...perhaps there's a bug somewhere

New options to learn it this board.Avatars has it's own section(manager),everything checked out.

Needed to edit the user group settings also.The option must have been disabled after the upgrade.
