ASPI 4.70 not installing on ME...

OK , I´ve try installing it by using both the install and the command line method but when I reboot and check the aspi versions with adaptec utility, it says that the 2 files are 4.60 versions so what´s up with that? I was able to install it on xp but I can´t figure out why it keeps on installing the old version on ME, also I killed the aspi before doing the install and the same thing happens....

I think the problem is you are trying to install 4.70 on a system that is only suppose to be 4.60--from the release text file of 4.70

Microsoft Windows XP wnaspi32.dll, aspi32.sys

me and 98 are the same...i had trouble after the update (using 98) i am sure the upgrade hurt me..went back to 4.60 1999 vers for all the files...my cd-rom 52x creative settled down and now functions like it use to
what i did was--open forceaspi17--search for those files on the harddrive and cut and pasted them were they showed up
i'll attach the force aspi
any other probs?? i'll try and help
