If u drive without insurance you should be executed.
If you run down a member of my family while not insured, I'll do the job myself.

hi chris.just a freindly disagreement but i have to say that asking someone if there insured to drive or not is a bit pointless from the point of view from the person who you put the question to.firstly i dont know any one that would admit to driving without insurance.to put it another way why dont you just ask people if they break the law.i mean as if someones gonna post a reply saying yes i do drive and no im not insured.could you imagine the s*it they would get

of course I am insured. everyone is insured. only in hollywood films people are stupid enough to drive without insurance. you know, like in "Assassins", the girl says, "I have no insurance bla". but in real life we are insured. thanx God. I drove with 70 kms/h against a lamppost. car broken, lamppost broken. my neck nearly broken. the insurance paid for the shit, otherwise, where should I get enough money to pay for a new lamppost? ;)

My driving teacher told us a story about a woman, who drove against a car which carried petroleum. it flows out of the broken car on the earth, destruction of environment is the consequence, 2 millions DM damage. but she had an insurance, which covered just 400.000 DM damage or something like that. which means this woman is still giving away her whole money every month to pay for the shit. for Bill Gates 1.6 mio DM would be nothing, but a normal human being can't pay it off in his entire life.
so my advice is: don't think how much an insurance costs, just take the best one, one which covers all damage, no matter how much it costs.
many people are always whining that they are paying too much for the car/insurance etc. nonsense. think what you get in return! you don't have to wait for buses or the metro or whatever. you don't have to drive in overcrowded buses full of stinking people. I sit down in my car, switch on the cd player and pity those poor people in the overcrowded buses, whom I see through the car window.

here is a little story (and yes i am insured) after a problem which left me unable to drive for 2 years i was finaly cleared to drive again (i'm registered disabled so its an automatic), i dont have a motobility car its my own so i rang around several insurance companies trying to get cover for my (then) 5 year old car (fsh mot etc) most companies wouldnt touch me the minute i said i was disabled, those who would wanted to charge me more than the value of the car (at that time) and none would allow me any of my former full no claims bonus, i decided not to bother with insurance, sold the car and took to using taxi's and the access bus, six months later i decided that i needed a car so i bought a new one it was a reasonably sporty one ( i like to know if i put my foot down i'm going to be able to drive out of trouble) again i applied for insurance (accidently failing to tell them i was disabled as i could legaly drive an un adapted car as long as it was an automatic) now if i told you they wanted £2000 a year for third party when i had a car worth about £2000 and told them i was disabled i was extremely suprised to discover they would insure me fully comp on the new car for around £1000, what is worse is that when i shortly after informed them i was disabled they actualy gave me a partial refund on the original cost, so what changed?

i moved house which could have made a difference, but it was within the same postcode area, was it because my car was less sporty ? i went from a cavalier 1.6i to a nissan primera rallysport so i dont think so, was it where it was parked? old house alarmed garage, new house driveway so no that couldnt be it either, maybe it was the security? old car full thatchem alarm and immobiliser and tracker, new car same kit so not that, out of interest i called the company back and asked them i got some bull back but from what i gather at times of higher new car sales they charge less for a few weeks to try to attract new customers with new cars.

the moral seems to be insure your car just as the new registrations start and you can save 50% on your insurance. (oh and for what its worth i still hold a stage 1 rally licence and an advanced drivers certificate).

odd thing is, my dad is over 90, was an apalling driver (cant drive now since he had a stroke:() yet his insurance on a similar priced car to mine was only £450 fully comp.

Personaly i think they just play think of a number, make it as high as they think they can get away with, then if you ever do have an accident it seems they screw you as much as they possibly can.

if i thought i could get away with it i must admit i'd think twice about getting insurance. (probably still would on grounds of conscience though if i'm being honest)

Breaking the law, I think the maj. of people here would say the same answer.

Just gotta remember why a lot of people come here ;)

Were I live Poeple Drive without insureance all the Time (Myself Excluded) if you get caught it"s a $400 Fine..But there are barely roads or very many other cars or poeple to run over if you wanted to on the other hand Insureance is so cheap that it"s not really worth it to not have insureance, if you have a good driveing record(havent hit a Moose lately) insureance can only cost about $200 a year..Insureance is the best way to protect yourself and others in case of an accident and it"s cheaper than getting caught without it.......

i break the law everyday, driving to and from work, i do 80mph on the M5 motorway around birmingham, so see some people will admit to breaking the law.

in town is a different deal though, i wouldnt be able to live with myself if i ran someone over so i always stick to the limit in town and i never go above 20 when im by a school with kids, it would break my hart if i ever ran over a child.

wich would you admit to?
doing 80 mph on a motorway or driving without insurance.the former sounds better to me.
