Modem Spy is a utility for recording phone calls. It features microphone recording; playback of recorded messages via a phone line; playback of recorded messages via a sound card; and it can record all incoming phone calls. It has built-in software for automatic gain control; detects and logs caller ID; pops up caller ID information; and has a Super Spy mode that will hide Modem Spy behavior. Modem spy is ok
There are some software like that, but I like mothem spy becouse it's very small, it detect inmediately modems properties and it works great. You can configure many things, the sound qualitie recording (from mono to CD), a total hiden phone spy recording all incoming and outgoing phone calls. I use it, the record is very clear and people dont detect is being recorder (no sounds at all like someone pick up the phone). And an alternative use is that you can change input recording device to the soundcard and use it like a recorder.

How do i set up the modem now?
What leads do i need to record and stuff i got a voice modem on one machine but on the other i dont,
so what kind of things do i need to do now that i have the software?
The only lead i got is the Phone line i got a few sockets for more on the modem like sound

I have a simple motorola chipset sm56 and I didn't nothing special, I run the soft and autom. recognize the modem. Has your modem voice capabilities or is just a fax data modem?. I read something about you can make records included fax data modems but I didn't pay attention to this.
Oh, I remembre something..... Modem Spy's begin to record 10 or more seconds after the phone is picked up, becouse this is the time you search where on earth is the phone, pick up it and begin to talk. Perhaps you must wait a bit longer...
