Any Optorite/MSI Owners Here?

The reason I ask is, have any of you actually written a DVD-R with either video or data and managed to play it back on your PC dvd-rom (not your dvd writer)?

I've just read some disturbing reports over at www.dvdrhelp.com about this drive not writing dvd-r's for pc playback/useage properly! It thats true, then maybe a firmware update will cure things.

So far I cant write a dvd-R that will work on anybody's pc dvd-rom.

hmmm well I dont have that what you have, but I have a Pioneer writer/burner etc. and I only write DVD-R 's movies and playback them on my Playstation 2 since my PS2 only play's DVD-R's, it doesnt play DVD+R or DVD+RW only DVD-R and DVD-RW. And I have used firmware to get speeds to x2 and it flashes it pretty good, but when it Flashes it is forever, also it may totally kill your Drive never to be working again, but thats mostly if you get wrong firmware, so you got to watch out..
