for all those that have a 40x writer dont bother this one will only write at 32x where as the 5.5.8.0 will burn at 40x .......

you sure you can't change the writing speed bulldog? cause this has happened before where it is set to default at a certain speed, then you just have to change its default properties to fit specifications.
But in most cases, you don't want to burn your stuff at 40x anyways, just data files. Not a huge difference in speed from 32x to 40x anways (32x-4.06 minutes/ 40x-3.56 minutes). Still nice to have what you payed for lol.
(also nero 5580 was crappo!. I suggest you switch to 5564 or 5569).
