Never ever hit any of them, but AFAIK they are Quicktime media files. So, I guess Quicktime pro should convert them to mpeg or whatever you like. You will judge if it's worth bying Quicktime pro for that sole purpose, though.
I wouldn't say that they are quicktime files. The mp4 container was however based on .mov and 3gp is based on mp4.
ffmpeg and mencoder support 3gp parsing, h263 decoding and can be compiled with AMR decoding. Otherwise you should be able to read via dshow using say ffdshow and haali's mkv/mp4 parser.
But yeah, quicktime can play 3gp files. Also export them.
