Yamaha releases new firmware for CRW-F1 - adds safe DAE

Via our forum FiReKiLL lets us know that Yamaha has released a new firmware version for their CRW-F1 drive. This new firmware supports more media and also adds another 'interesting' feature:

CRW-F1 firmware 1.0f:

Allowed CRW-F1 to switch the maximum rotation speed in reading Audio CD between 8700rpm and 4700rpm.
Added support for following CD-R discs for 44x writing:
CMC (48x), Imation (48x), MPO (48x, 52x), Plasmon (52x), Sky Media (52x), Sony (48x)
Added support for CMC Ultra Speed CD-RW disc (24x).

So please note that when you download this latest firmware and flash your CRW-F1 drive with it, audio extraction will by default be limited to 24x.
