Xvid To Dvdr

A mate of mine converts the Xvid video to DVD MPEG2 using DVD2SVCD, and with the extracted AC3 and the new MPG2, loads into Scenarist to author. Then burns out with Nero. Some excellent results actually.
I actually tried that myself yesterday on the 2x 716mb Xvid w/AC3 files of Star Wars 2. The PC playback of the final VOB files was outstanding (I dont have a DVD Burner, yet!).
i just converted a very merry pooh year ac3 to dvd-r - it came out perfect. load the avi into virtualdub, set the audio to direct stream copy not full processing mode, save the wav. Rename the wav to xxxx.ac3 then use ac3fix.exe to fix any errors, then use HeadAC3he to convert it to a .wav, after that u convert it to a dvd mpeg in tmpgenc then author it with ulead dvd workshop or whatever. This definitely worked for me
I also have a Tutorial on how to convert DivX/Xvid to DVDR now but still may have bugs in it, but if anyone is interested I can post it.
