Hi there,

Before I begin I´d to say that I really don´t have any knowledge from converting DivX to DVD altough I´m trying to learn.
I was trying to make my first Xvid to DVD according the tutorial from ChickenMan ( which I find very good and easy for me to understand ) and when I try to make STEP 4 and make the ADD FILE it gives me this mistake " The video framerate 23,976 fps cannot be used by a standard DVD "   . I try again ( with other movie )double checking my options and the same mistake ocurred.

I would appreciatte if you could help me please

Thanks

As said in Step 4 point 2:

"2. In the new window, we then click the Add File button and browse to our Encoded_Video_CCE_PAL.mpv or Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv or Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv (MUST always use the Pulldown file if it exists) file."

Just load the Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv

Hi there,

I don´t have that file " Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv " .
I just have this one " Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv " and this is the one that gives the mistake i describe above.
Can you help ??????????? PLEASE ...
Thanks for your help

As you say the file had a 23.976fps frame rate, DVD2SVCD would have automatically run Pulldown.exe to convert the Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv to Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv If it has not do this, then you can do it manually. In a DOS box or at the Command Prompt type in

pulldown Encoded_Video_CCE_NTSC.mpv Pulldown_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpv

and it will do it for you. You may need to copy the pulldown.exe to your working folder (Pulldown is in a sub-folder in your DVD2SVCD folder) and run it from there.

Hi there,

Thanks for your answers.
My first DVD went very well and plays fine , but the next two have one problem in common :

When i put the DVD in my Living Room DVD machine ( METZ - multiregion ) it frozens immediately. But when I put in my PC ( LG 1420 ) it plays fine , in my Playstation plays fine too ( plays black and white but because of the PAL system ). My first DVD didn´t have this problem , it plays very well.

Am I doing something wrong ???? Forgetting something ???????
Can you help me ???????

Sounds like a media problem. What media are you using. Run DVDIdentifier and tell us who makes the media. If you read around the forum you find that some media is garbage and even in the same order. :)

Hi there,

Thanks...

I´ll try that. But i´d use the same media in my first DVD and it plays very well. I keep thinking that i must have made some error that i can´t discover.
I did follow the tutorial from ChickenMan , possible i´m missing something ?!!?!?
