XPSP1 files uninstall ?

When installing XPSP1 I took the first option and backedup the files ,and found out this option took up about 1 1/2 G. of space. Now here is the question, in Add/remove programs it gives the XPSP1 but no file size and only the remove command. Dose removing this just remove the backup files or dose it remove the only the install files?? I am looking to get back the space that has been used up by the install and keep my setup the way it is now with SP1. Do you know what I mean??

i believe that will uninstall sp1, u need to find the folder windows install saved the backup to and delete that
