A friend of my in Holland told mi about this little tweak if you want to be able to read the XP error message that tends to pop up and go every so fast if you encounter a problem. Well here's the downlow on the matter.

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced - Startup and Recovery Settings and uncheck the "Automatically restart" item in the System failure section.

In some cases this could lead in the PC locking up completelyy requiring manual reset power-off. Now you will be able to see the full text of the BSOD error message investigate the possible causes and fix your problem.
