Okay here is what I have. A home built compter, asus a7v8x mb, 1.5 gz AMD chip 768 meg ram, 40 gb hd with 20 gb free, Operating System is Win XP Pro, I got a new drive I installed, Sony DRU510A, installed DVD X Copy Platinum. That I just bought. It installed okay. Here is what happens. I activate DVD xcopy simple mode to copy. Prompts me to insert dvd to read, it reads 100% and asks to insert blank dvd. I am using Memorex 4x RW DVD+R disks. when I insert this disk it gives me the permission to start the copy. When I click start, I immediately get an error, "Error Writing Disk" and the ok button. This is far as I get. Then it closes after i click ok.. It does not even try to write to the disk. I am very new at this DVD copy thing. Please advise as best you can. I also installed Nero 6.0 and had a similar problem. I then tried to make a copy of a regular audio cd to see if the drive works and was successful making a copy of that cd with nero.You can reach me at burda@msu.edu also. Thanks.
