I thought that some ppl might like to take a look at this site that i came across. They are offering a free trial download of "dup-dvd 2.0.0"
This software allows you to record straight from DVD to SVCD/VCD i know someone who has tried it and they say the quality is GREAT, but there is a recording limit so we need some sort of serial number or crack for this one.

Yep I sure have tried it, an absolute load of crap!
