write speed probs

please help have a pioneer 106 and use nero 6 ultra ,with xp pro,can't get any writing software to let me write at 4x,only 1x

please help its driving me nuts

does ur dvd-r media support the said speed?& r u using cheap media?using cheap media may cause ur burner not to go up 2 4x ;)

cheers 4 the advice guys u wuz right ,dodgy so called 4x datawrite reds,problem solved find the princo ones work a treat
