Wowpost.exe what IS it?

I'm not familiar with the Wowpost.exe so I don't know what it is, nor what it does. I'm running Windows XP Pro, and some have said that those running this OS should delete Wowpost.exe, And winaspi.dll. Are these in any way used in the ripping of dvd's? That is primarily what I'm interested in doing, and if this will hurt my chances of successful results, then I sure would like to know. But, I want to know what the Wowpost.exe is for ANYWAY.

above mentioned parts are the files of aspli layer..For any win os you should have a proper aspi for almost all audio-video funktions..most used is 4.60..Do a search if you wanna find more about it..

The guy who said you so must be smoking something really bad...
wowpost.exe is a component of the Adaptec/Roxio ASPI layer, which does no harm at all, unless your ASPI installation is corrupt.
