Worm virus scared M$

The Blaster/Lovsan worm is supposed to do a massive attack at windows update @ 16/8.
It seems that the Redmond gurus are very afraid of the consequences for their servers......they also don't trust their own patch for it.....why would they otherwise switch to Linux in a hurry? :D

http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?site=www.windowsupdate.com shows you that, while offering a discount price on XP in Thailand to keep Linux out of the market, they can't live without Linux themselves.... :p

windowsupdate.microsoft.com redirects, but the address due to be hit - www.windowsupdate.com - goes nowhere (and WON'T be coming back!
If it's still in your local or ISP cache, you MAY see the old redirection until it flushes out, but then it will be dead.

It is a (probably successful) attempt to dodge the DOS attack - though DNS servers may take a bit of extra load - HEY! They should have made it point to 127.0.0.1 - that would have been FUN!
