I've just got a new Optiwrite DD0401 DVD burner.
I originally stuck it in a PC I was using for my sister, and it burnt 4gb no prob onto a DVD.
I have now put it in my main PC, and it just wont burn DVD's. CD's burn fine, but when I try to burn DVD's in Nero i just locks up on the "beginning cache" page.
Tride Nero Veriosn 5.5 and 6.
ASPI layers are fine and checked.
There is 6GB free on the cache drive.
Any clues?
EDIT: Update. I've installed the drive in a new PC, with a clean XP install... and it works perfectly. So it's some kind of screwed up software thing on my main PC (most likely). Anyone got any diea what would cuase a complete lockup when the PC try's to do anything to write to a DVD only? (Either to a blank disc or blank a RW, everything with CD's works perfectly)
