WMV Playback

For some reason lately whenever I play a .wmv file the colors are really messed up and it makes the video almost completely un-recognizable. I have tried reintalling Microsoft WMV codecs as well as the K Lite Codec Pack, but nothing has worked. Does anyone have any sugestions on how I might fix this problem?

I tried other video drivers, but still same problem. Any one else have any thoughts?

Tried converting it to a different video format ?

Converting works just fine, but I still dont understand why all of the sudden my computer would encounter this problem. But I guess I will just have to deal with it and convert all wmv files to other formats.
