WMP, Real Player, etc playing video in black and white

Just curious if anyone might have an idea as to why this is happening. Sometimes when I go to play a video in WMP or Real One Player, it plays in black and white. If I shut the program down and try again a couple of times, it plays in color as it should. Any ideas on how to fix it would be appreciated.

Somebody else has my problem! Wonderful (sort of). I am not sure what you did, but I installed the latest Windows Media Player 9 Build using the "winbeta" method (change to .rar file extension, and then run setup_wp.exe), so I could bypass the "this could only run on XP & .net message." It messed up EVERYTHING for me. I could not play ONE video file. Then, I uninstalled EVERY Windows Media Player file, ran a few registry tools, and then I re-installed WMP 7. Then, I installed Nimo, and Divx 5.02 Pro. Divx Pro 5.02 help a LITTLE (1 out of like 842 video files played). Lastly, I decided to try and install Divx Pro 5.02 Corporate (ac3 ready), and LOW AND BEHOLD, my video files were fine again. Yet, one more problem: BLACK AND WHITE FOR MILES AND MILES! Can someone help us, please? Thank you for reading this. My apologies for the length, but I wanted to make sure that the person replying after me knew what was going on. Good-bye.
