WinXP Professional - Tasks not running

On my WinXP Pro machine, all tasks in the task scheduler that are enabled aren't running. Anyone have any ideas what the problem may be and if a certain service has to be enabled?

i don't know how it is in winxp but in win2k there exists a service called "taskplaner" in german but i dunno how it is called in english, just look through th list in start --> run... --> services.msc and i'm sure you'll find it
just start it and it will work

the service is called Task Scheduler but I already have it started on automatic so that's not it.

did you look into the event viewer in the computer management ?
are there any error concerning the task scheduler or the prog you want to start ?

That's the problem... The event viewer doesn't show any of the tasks at all.
