WinXP Professional - Autorun not working

On my WinXP Pro machine, autorun is not working on either my Pioneer DVD305S SCSI DVDROM or my HP DVD+RW DVD200e writer. I've checked tweakui and autoplay is enabled. In My Computer, when I right click on the drive and then properties, on the Autoplay tab of different types of media, it shows Prompt me to choose an action. In Services, Shell Hardware Detection is started and on automatic. Running the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc), under Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System where on the right hand side, it says Turn off autoplay, it's set to Not configured. Anyone have any ideas? When I stick in a CD, it just acts if autorun was off. Thanks.

Nah, I don't want to disable it... I want to enable it so it works... I already figured out the problem. It had to do with gpedit.msc on the Turn autoplay off as not configured, had to change it to disabled before autorun would work correctly again.

php,

The autorun is enabled... For some reason, Windows XP's Group Policy treated the Turn off autoplay as not configured as being enabled so had to change it to disable and then things worked.
