WinRamTurbo and Spyware questions.

Does this program truly provide any benefit?
For that matter do you feel that any of these RAM recycling programs make your computing experience better?

I want opinions before I install it.

Also, can somebody please explain what "spyware" is and how I should get rid of it if it's something that I deem as inappropriate?

Thanks,
Wedge

I am currently testing WinRam Turbo XP.
It is a lot like memturbo & other types.
How it works is by clearing up dead memory. This is DLLs & other things still stuck in your memory sometimes that haven't been flushed out. So this basically flushes your memory for such things & speeds up your PC 'cause now you have more RAM (which is quicker).
Unfortunately I don't really see the benefits of this on NT/2K/XP systems, as they do a good job at managing memory & page files. However on win9x it is a great tool to use.
Will be doing more testing for a few days, but so far I don't see a great advantage with it on the systems I mentioned.

For XP system with alot of ram

there are tweaks for XP Home/Pro that allow you to set your computer to use memory/ram for more programs then always using the page file this does increase the usage of you ram but if you can afford it with 256mb or more (512 is highly recommended) you will benefit in performance then letting your computer use the page file continuously. I support the OO-software clever ram but i'm currently using winram turbo just to test it out and it works just as great without lookin almightly.
:D

below is the crack for winramturbo it says 11 but it works with 1.3

Hey Ar3s, post your conclusions about the Winram vs. CC comparison. I was using WinramTurbo Pro (just-past-version) and liked it well enough, except it was difficult to ascertain which of the many tweak options were appropriate. The CC seems to have assigned appropriate settings automatically, but I'm not sure that it performs quite as good.

So give a shout about your findings.

Here's something for others who'd have a look.

Findings So Far

 sorry to tell you this but winramturbo pro is terrible its full of nonsense why would someone need a clock running in a ram free program, secondly its tweaks have no tooltips or aid in configuring them. The help file does contain some references to them but it would be easier in the program with just a popup tooltip simple and straight to the point. It does free ram well all 3 programs i tried do the same thing well can't say one is better than the other cause like one of the previous writers wrote in XP ram is handled pretty well.

WinRamTurbo XP is totally different from WinRamTurbo Pro you may think if you pay more for Pro you get better stuff its not true in this case as the XP version works for all OS but the tweaks are mainly for XP or 2k system as the large cache and NTFS tweaks
It displays the digital number of free ram in your system tray when running again simple Clevercache does display it but in this tiny window with way too much information for someone who just wants to free ram, Used, Usused, Mem-O-Free and so on...

O&O Clevercache does have the benefits of Mem-O-Free and Mem-O-Safe which i feel a very good additions to its previous releases but i don't see any tweak or automatically setting of what you spoke of in your reply, pls advice.

When it comes to freeing ram they all work great but on looks and simplicity clevercache and winramturbo xp are top of the line.

Pro has two click buttons to empty clipboard and recent documents which means you have to open up the program and click them which means its troublesome and unnecessary. Pro also have this weird gong and ding sounds which i must say are like scratching a blackboard its system tray is its icon which turns green on freeing ram.

Winramturbo XP has tweaks taken from tweak programs like tweak-xp and customizer xp if you don't use both then this is a subtitude.

WinRamTurboXP 1.6 cracked

WinRamTurbo 1.6

WinRamTurbo is a Windows memory manager and system performance booster. WinRamTurbo increases your file/disk IO performance, stops system crashes resulting in more productive uptime, and increases system stability with automatic memory optimization. WinRamTurbo also recovers your memory left behind by faulty applications which do not return it back to the operating system.

I agree with shadow_phantom. This program looks almost identical to Memory Turbo 2.1. I'm testing this program as well:D

So guys, all of you who have been testing WinRamTurbo XP, what are your conclusions?

It's been a while since I posted this thread and I was wondering what the verdict might be.

Haven't tried it myself; was gonna make the decision to do so based on the feedback of this thread.

I'm curious about folks' conclusions as well. I'm using O&O Clevercache again. I could never disable the annoying "doink" wav. that plays when WRam Turbo XP optimizes.
