Microsoft continually works to improve its software. As part of this effort, we develop updates and fixes to recognized issues and release them for customers. On a regular basis, we combine many of these fixes into a single package and make the package available for you to install on your computers. These packages are called Service Packs.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) provides the latest security and reliability updates to the Windows XP family of operating systems, and includes Internet Explorer 6 SP2. Windows XP SP2 is designed to ensure Windows XP platform compatibility with newly released software and hardware, and includes updates that resolve issues discovered by customers or by Microsoft's internal testing team.

Anybody willing to give this a try? ;)

Just tried installing this on my computer...
It has a watermark on the desktop showing that this is only a beta and also it also seems that it has messed up Windows a bit...
Will GoBack soon! :D
Anyways, hope the final SP2 will be better than the beta!

To call a microsux piece of S/ware beta is a misnomer most of their stuff is beta even when they say they have finished with it & there will be no more updates

So an example of that would be Office 97?
Remember to image your drive / use GoBack Auto Revert feature before installing this beta! ;)
I wonder what happens if you don't? :D
